Early Warning System
To develop an “early warning system” that will alert you to adjust your plans, it’s useful to ask about internal and external changes that occurred since the last time you evaluated your business progress. Questions to ask include (but are not limited to):
Since the last time we evaluated our progress, what large and small changes have occurred:
-
in our management and employee population?
in our industry?
in technology?
in our business processes?
with our facilities?
with customers?
with suppliers?
with alliance partners?
in legislation?
Use this information to open discussions and determine what adjustments your company will need to make to stay on the path to success.
